Tools that must be in the car

This can include tools which a car must have by default and the extras which are definitely good for a car to have. Let’s take a look at both:

Must-haves:

• Safety kit – including spare bulbs
• Medical kit – first aid kit
• Extra tire
• Lifting tool
• 2 Warning triangles
• Fluorescent/high visibility jackets
• Child/baby seat if travelling with a baby/child

Recommended must-haves include

• Car fire extinguisher
• Spare blankets
• Ice scraper
• Window washer and de-icer spray
• Torch
• Jump-start cables
• An empty fuel can
• A shovel

Other recommended items can include a pair of sunglasses, a road atlas, cleansing wipes, wet wipes and an extra phone charger you always keep in your car
