Disadvantages of an automatic transmission

Automatic transmission is the norm in several countries such as the United States, due to the fact that it’s way easier to drive than a manual transmission car. But next to its advantages, automatic transmission also has plenty of disadvantages. Let’s see some of the key ones below:

• Less dynamic than the manual transmission: this means it starts and speeds much slower due to gears not being manually shifted.
• Slower reaction time: no wonder that auto-transmission is the best for highway and long haul rides
• Higher amount of fuel consumption: as the gears cannot provide the engine with the luxury of consuming way less when shifted to higher degree, the car would also consume more.
