Variator which is also known as Continuously Variable Transmission is a system that’s present in several high category cars, offering the driver to drive the vehicle in both modes, depending on the type of road and type of drive. Let’s get to see the disadvantages of the cars which are equipped with this system:

  • Higher cost – understandably, if the clutch or shifting goes wrong, then it costs way more to replace it, as it needs to work with both sort of transmission
  • Limited amount of torque
  • These vehicles need a specific type of engine oil as the engine and all the other tools need to perform according to both AT and MT mode.
